Overview

ViseVault LLC ("ViseVault," "we," "us," or "our") operates the ViseVault mobile application (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our App.

We are committed to protecting your privacy. Our App is designed to work primarily with locally stored data, and we collect only what is necessary to provide our service.

Information We Collect

Information collected automatically

When you download and use ViseVault, we may collect certain information automatically, including:

This information is collected to improve the App's performance and stability. It does not identify you personally.

Subscription information

ViseVault offers an in-app subscription managed entirely through the Apple App Store and Google Play. We do not collect or store your payment information. Apple and Google process all transactions and provide us only with confirmation of a valid subscription status — not your name, payment method, or billing details. For information about their data practices, please review Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

To verify and manage subscription status across your devices, we use RevenueCat, a third-party subscription-management service. RevenueCat receives a randomly generated app user identifier along with limited device and purchase information (such as your subscription's product identifier, purchase and renewal dates, and country). This is used solely to validate your subscription and unlock membership features. RevenueCat does not receive your name, email address, or payment method.

Account information

The first time you open ViseVault, a private, randomly generated anonymous account is created automatically so your data can sync (see Data Storage & Sync below). An anonymous account contains nothing that identifies you personally. If you choose to sign in with Apple, Google, or email, we store the email address associated with that account and use it only to sign you in and to respond when you contact support.

Information you provide voluntarily

If you contact us for support via email, we will receive your email address and any information you include in your message. This information is used solely to respond to your inquiry.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

Data Storage & Sync

ViseVault's pattern library ships inside the App and never leaves your device.

Your personal data — favorites, fly boxes, tying journal, bench materials, shop list, and preferences — is stored on your device and also synced to our cloud database (Google Firebase) so it survives reinstalls and can follow you to a new phone. Sync happens under your account (anonymous by default, as described above). Firebase processes this data on our behalf; see Firebase's privacy documentation.

Your Account & Deleting Your Data

You can sign out or delete your account at any time from Preferences in the App.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties. We may share information only in the following circumstances:

Children's Privacy

ViseVault is not directed at children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13, please contact us at support@visevault.com and we will promptly delete that information.

Data Retention

Synced app data is retained for as long as your account exists; deleting your account from Preferences removes it from our servers immediately. We retain any support correspondence and diagnostic data only for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. You may also request deletion of any personal data we hold by contacting us at support@visevault.com.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete personal data we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, please contact us using the information below.

California residents may have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). Because we do not sell personal information, many CCPA provisions do not apply; however, you are welcome to contact us with any privacy-related questions.

Third-Party Links

Our App may contain links to third-party websites or services (for example, links to YouTube tutorials for pattern tying). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their privacy policies.

Security

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect the information we hold. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
